The ward was completed within a tight construction programme of 17 weeks, including two weeks for the Christmas shutdown. Throughout the duration of the project, Norths maintained efficient control of materials handling and rubbish removal with respect to the hospital’s unusual operating hours.

A high level of quality was achieved across all aspects of the project, with the stringent criteria of the Disease Control Guidelines adhered to at all times.
